This arrangement was born of necessity. I needed a prelude for Sunday morning worship. It begins up high, delicately, like a music box. Then, it deepens and adds an ostinato in the left hand, giving it more of a pensive feel. Then, there is a triumphant ending with octaves. This can be shortened to suit the player’s needs during worship. I hope you enjoy playing “Come Thou Almighty King”.

This solo piano arrangement of Faith Of Our Fathers came about because of necessity. I needed a solo arrangement to play for worship service at church and could not find one that was simple, yet beautiful. Most arrangements I’ve found of this hymn are march-like and sound more like a fanfare or processional. This piece makes a great offertory and can be repeated as necessary.

Like a lot of other compositions of mine, this is an arrangement that came out of necessity. I did not have a piano solo arrangement of Footsteps Of Jesus. I needed one for worship on Sunday and voila! It is sweet, gentle, and easy to play. Bring out the melody in the flowing eighth notes at the beginning. The ostinato that occurs on the second half is a little tricky, but once you have the rhythm on one measure, you’ve learned it for all of them. I hope you enjoy playing Footsteps of Jesus.

This original song is for children’s choir & piano. For some reason when I’m composing, I think in 3's. So, this song is about three important women from the Bible: Eve, Ruth, and Mary. The words are simple, but effective to give tribute to ALL women in our lives on Mother’s Day. Because not all women have children, but all “mother” us in some way. Nurturing us, caring for us, praying for us. I’m so thankful for all the women in my life that continue to “mother” me. This song is for ALL of them.

This arrangement for SAB choir was written for my church choir at First Presbyterian Church of Spruce Pine in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. We needed something simpler but with a beautiful accompaniment to use for an anthem during worship services. The flute adds a harmonic line and depth to the piece. I hope your choir enjoys singing this version of “For The Beauty Of The Earth”.

This song is based on Romans 3:23-24. While reading this passage recently, it struck me how definitive those words are “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” There’s no escape from that. This led to the second part of the song. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. He is our savior and redeemer. This song snuck up on me and came together quickly. God was speaking and I needed to listen. I hope that you enjoy singing and playing “God Is On Our Side”.

This SAB choir medley was arranged specifically for the choir at First Presbyterian Church of Spruce Pine. I wanted something easy, singable, and a little more sophisticated than singing straight from the hymnbook. I adore these two songs and came up with a way to put them together in the arrangement. This song was written for a student of mine, Piper, who is obsessed with Dolly Parton. What a wonderful role model to have as a child! I created a lesson plan around our favorite country singer and her love of children and the desire for everyone to read. I then created a coloring page and this song to add to the lesson. My students just love it and I hope yours will, too.

This upbeat gospel style song for children’s choir is quite a little challenge! If you have a group that is full of strong singers, this song can be used to start introducing singing in parts. Younger children can learn part 1 and older children can learn the echo and harmonies. I hope your children’s choir enjoys this song about the day that is to come!

This arrangement took on three distinct personalities. The first is a delicate music box melody. The second, stately counterpoint. The third is reminiscent of a minuet by Bach. I’m not sure how this occurred as I played it on the piano, but I do like it! This would work well as a prelude for Sunday worship. Sections could be repeated or used separately to make the piece longer or shorter as needed. I hope that you enjoy this version of “Nearer, My God, To Thee”.
